Hostage Escalates His Mercer Feud

BRYAN, TX - HOSTAGE HIRSCH has been violently pursuing his former tag team partner, TRENT MERCER. Missing for months, Hirsch reemerged in November right after Mercer won the Lions Den Championship. His motives still are mysterious, though he has alluded to Mercer being a traitor to him despite Hirsch being the one who left Lions Pride Sports for an extended period.

At More Power, More Pain, Hirsch escalated matters to a different level. Not only did he strike Mercer in the midst of his latest defense against the legendary RYAN DAVIDSON, but Hostage also played a video showing him following Mercer’s girlfriend, who encountered a coffin set up by Hirsch. “The Coffin King” would challenge Trent for his title in a Coffin Match at April 14’s Fight II Unite event. Mercer emotionally accepted, declaring his former partner had brought out something inside him which he couldn’t handle.

Mercer’s wasn’t the only title retention at More Power, More Pain. MIA FRIDAY withstood an incredible challenge in Reality of Wrestling’s PROMISE BRAXTON in the 17-year-old phenom’s latest defense of the Lions Pride Sports Championship. Friday heads into Fight II Unite awaiting her next challenge to the biggest prize in The Pride.

Beyond gold, Pandemonium basked in the glow of their take down of most of the roster at the conclusion of February’s Battle in Bryan 5. That included SHIMBASHI bragging about his break-up with girlfriend MJ SANTANA. A trio of tag teams would emerge to make their own statements in the presence of Pandemonium, leading to Lions Pride Sports Owner HOUSTON CARSON making two tag matches on the night. In addition to an already-scheduled singles contest.

MATHAYUS and PRINCE LY would defeat a pair of upstart rookies, ZAE CARTER and JAK CALLOWAY, and Shimbashi topped HASTUR. Each match featured interference that helped Pandemonium score wins. Then, following ZANE VALERO and SECURITY GUY’S win over The 8th Day’s ODAY BARA and BROTHER TRACEY, Pandemonium attacked the victorious team. Hastur’s attempt to help Valero and Guy was cut off, but former Lions Pride Sports Champion MOONSHINE MANTELL made his return after three years away to clear the ring. He declared there should be a six-person tag match at Fight II Unite, with Pandemonium facing Valero, Guy and Hastur. That match was made official by Carson.

In other action at More Power, More Pain:

  • KOOL DADDI DENZELL not only dropped his match to TKO JOE with a surprise roll-up, he had to deal with his former partner who he dropped from The Bad Boys of Wrestling. RODZILLA got a measure of revenge, attacking Denzell following his loss.

  • An over-exuberant CANNONBALL CARMICHAEL was looking for crowd support for his friend DRAKE DURDEN, hopping on the apron and distracting the referee in Durden’s match with CHAVY CHULO. A low blow led to a Chulo win. Carmichael’s apology to the seven-footer was accepted.
