Once closer to brothers than friends, the relationship between Lions Den Champion "Watchdog" Trent Mercer and his former Onslaught partner Hostage Hirsch took a violent turn last November when, after an absence lasting several months, Hirsch returned and attacked Mercer with a shovel following the Mercer's championship victory. Now calling himself the "Coffin King," Hirsch followed this attack with several others, interfered in all of Mercer's matches, and finally committed his most heinous offense yet when he abducted Mercer's girlfriend, only releasing her when Trent agreed to put his title on the line in Lions Pride Sports' first ever Coffin Match.

"The Coffin King" was out for revenge against "The King in Yellow" at Battle in Bryan 5.
