MATHAYUS VS. CANNONBALL CARMICHAEL
MATHAYUS VS. DRAKE DURDEN
MAY 6, 2023

Pandemonium was eager to move past their loss in six-person tag team action at Fight II Unite and celebrate Prince Ly's birthday in style. Unfortunately, Cannonball Carmichael and Drake Durden had plans for their own festivities to celebrate Party Train’s Fight II Unite tag team battle royal win. When the parties collided, so did the groups, as Mathayus would fight Party Train.

MATHAYUS, PRINCE LY & SHIMBASHI VS. HASTUR, RODZILLA & ZANE VALERO
APRIL 14, 2023

In just a matter of weeks, Pandemonium's Mathayus, Shimbashi and Prince Ly had made enemies of virtually the entire Lions Pride Sports roster, but perhaps none more so than Zane Valero, who recruited Hastur and Rodzilla to fight alongside him in six-man tag team action at Fight II Unite.

MATHAYUS VS. ZAE CARTER
FEBRUARY 4, 2023

Mathayus and Zae Carter were two of the favorites to win January's Aggieland Rumble match, with Mathayus having plenty of allies, and Carter entering the contest last and having yet to lose a match. Zae ended up eliminating both Mathayus and himself, leading to a bout at Battle in Bryan 5 between "The God of Fire" and "The Level."

AGGIELAND RUMBLE MATCH
JANUARY 7, 2023

Thirty competitors from Lions Pride Sports and other Texas promotions hit The Pride's ring to take part in the third Aggieland Rumble match. Through rivalry clashes, individual efforts, and alliances formed and dissolved, one wrestler would outlast the others and earn the title shot of their choosing later that same night.

MATHAYUS & PRINCE LY VS. DJ AUSTIN & SPACE TIGER, JR.
DECEMBER 9, 2022

November was not a good month for Mathayus and Prince Ly. Each wrestler dropped their matches against rivals at our fifth anniversary event. Six days later, they lost when they teamed up at Macho Madness. Would they get back on track at Lash Out when they faced the outlandish team of DJ Austin and Space Tiger, Jr.?

MATHAYUS VS. TKO JOE
KNOCKOUT MATCH, WITH DEVON DEVILLE HANDCUFFED TO SECURITY
NOVEMBER 12, 2022

Since early September, TKO Joe has been matched up against Mathayus, seeking a win over one of The Pride's finest and most vicious. Each time, be it singles matches, a tag match, a handicap match or a match with a special referee, Devon DeVille and distractions have cost Joe the matches. At Here to Stay 5, it was a Knockout Match, with the loser being the wrestler unable to answer a ten-count. Plus, Mathayus's manager was handcuffed to security.

MATHAYUS & DEVON DEVILLE VS. TKO JOE
OCTOBER 28, 2022

With significant momentum behind him, TKO Joe first ran into Mathayus in early September, but more specifically, the devilish tactics of his manager. Devon DeVille's distractions combined with Mathayus's power and skill have prevented Joe from picking up a single victory over "The God of Fire" over two months. Joe would get one more chance at Haunting in Downtown, with DeVille inserted into the contest. A loss would mean "The Knockout Specialist" could never face Mathayus again.

MATHAYUS VS. PAC ORTEGA
AUGUST 27, 2022

With Mathayus looking to continue on his path of destruction in The Pride, our Pick Your Poison event put the random selection of his opponent in the hands of the fans. The choice ended up being one of Texas's rising stars making his Lions Pride Sports debut, Pac Ortega. Could The Enigma, The Entity leave College Station The Winner?

HASTUR VS. MATHAYUS
JUNE 18, 2022

Hastur had clearly gotten into the heads of Mathayus and his manager, Devon DeVille, heading into Lights Out. In May in Navasota, Mathayus looked into the mask of Hastur and didn't like what he saw. Earlier in June in Caldwell, DeVille was seemingly hypnotized after staring at the mask, which eventually led to Mathayus being counted out in his first match with Hastur. What would happen when the two powerhouses collided for a second time?

MATHAYUS VS. THE MOUNTAIN

Mathayus's transformation into the loathed "God of Fire," a change influenced by Devon DeVille, was completed in December in Navasota in a match against The Mountain. Five months later in the same venue, the two would collide once more. Would the 600-pounder exact revenge, or would Mathayus again score a victory?

BOTH LIONS PRIDE SPORTS CHAMPIONSHIP AND LIONS DEN CHAMPIONSHIP
APR. 23, 2022

After denigrating the night's special guest, All Elite Wrestling's Lance Archer, "Outlaw" J. Austin and Mathayus made a request of The Pride's new titleholders: put your titles on the line in the night's tag team match. Lions Pride Sports Champion Zane Valero and Lions Den Champion Chavy Chulo accepted the challenge, drastically raising the stakes of Into the Fire's main event.

Across from him was the first ever graduate of The Lions Den Training Facility, Chavy Chulo. Would "The God of Fire's" reign go on, or would Chulo pull off what no trainee of The Lions Den had done before?

MATHAYUS (C) VS. TRENT MERCER
LIONS DEN CHAMPIONSHIP
FEB. 19, 2022

The imposing Mathayus's next defense in the first Lions Den Championship reign came against a very different competitor than "The God of Fire's" previous opponents. Trent Mercer may have not have had the size or power advantage, but "Watchdog's" speed, agility and tenacity made him a more-than-worthy opponent? Would it be enough to earn him the belt?

MATHAYUS (C) VS. DRAKE DURDEN
LIONS DEN CHAMPIONSHIP
-PLUS-
MATHAYUS & SHIMBASHI VS. DRAKE DURDEN & MIKE DELL

A month earlier in his first shot at the title, Mathayus got help from manager Devon DeVille to retain, then brutally assaulted Durden's knee. Having spent time out of action recovering, the seven-footer looked once again to take "The God of Fire's" belt. What resulted included an unexpected, intense match.

JAN. 22, 2022

Mathayus's reign as the very first Lions Den Champion began with the slaying of a pair of popular giants. After an exchange of strikes, Mathayus would eliminate Bryant. With both men furious at each other, they would face off in one-on-one action later that night.

MATHAYUS (C) VS. THE MOUNTAIN

OCT. 30, 2021

From 12 wrestlers at the start, it came down to two in the Lions Den Championship Invitational Tournament. Both Mathayus and Chavy Chulo were seeking their first gold in The Pride. Would "The Headline" continue his quest for gold, or would "Gen-Z" finally score a victory and stay alive in the tourney?

MATHAYUS VS. TRENT MERCER
LIONS DEN CHAMPIONSHIP INVITATIONAL TOURNAMENT, FIRST ROUND
SEPT. 11, 2021

Mathayus chose not to accept a bye into the quarterfinals of the tournament to crown the first Lions Den Champion in Lions Pride Sports. That meant in Navasota, "The Headline" needed to win his first round match-up. The opponent: Trent Mercer. "The Watchdog" was looking to make his first singles match a remarkable win.

DRAKE DURDEN & MATHAYUS VS. THE TRIFECTA
AUG. 28, 2021

Early on in Clash at Caldwell 3, Mike Dell declared he wanted a shot at Drake Durden's Lions Pride Sports Championship. Dell and his proteges in The Trifecta proceeded to beat down the champ, but were stopped by Mathayus. A three-on-two tag match was booked for later in the night.

MATHAYUS VS. KOOL DADDI DENZELL

It was supposed to be Ryan Davidson against Drake Durden, but they call Ryan "Ruthless" for a reason. Before the opening bell, the Lions Pride Sports Champion injured his giant challenger. JAY ALEXANDER VS. MATHAYUS
MAY 22, 2021

With each wrestler having scored a win over the other, the rubber match between Jay Alexander and Mathayus was set for April's Return of the Giant 2 event. However, Alexander injured Mathayus's shoulder before the opening bell. "The Headline" wasn't cleared to compete that night, but got revenge two weeks later in Downtown Bryan by costing Alexander his match that night. At Into the Fire 2, Alexander and Mathayus would finally have that third encounter, and with no disqualifications.

MATHAYUS VS. JAY ALEXANDER
MAR. 27, 2021

In their first match-up just two weeks earlier at Friday Night Fight Night, Mathayus and Jay Alexander had arguably the best match in the history of that event series. It was Mathayus earning the win over one of the top up-and-coming wrestlers out of Booker T's Reality of Wrestling. Would Alexander even things up, or would "The Headline" score a second straight win over "The Purveyor of Punishment?"

MATHAYUS VS. “OUTLAW” J. AUSTIN
